I do not have greasy hair but I like to go a handful of days amongst shampoos. By applying along the scalp and then brushing out it absorbs the excess oil to give me 1 extra day in between shampoos. I have dark hair and when I initially place it on my hair I can see it but when I brush it in it disapears. I have brief hair and this item is just what I necessary for a reasonable cost.
